New engine
The Meteor motorcycle engine is the new air-oil-cooled, 349cc single overhead camshaft (SOHC) engine with characteristic long stroke and electric fuel injection. This system produces smooth, controlled power and plenty of low-end revs. Continuing the legend of simple single-cylinder engines, the new engine pulses with the inner rhythm that is uniquely Royal Enfield's.
Discharge
Great attention was paid to the motorcycle exhaust system, so that at low speeds, the engine work is audible and this provides additional safety for the motorcycle rider when riding in city traffic or traffic jams. The makers aimed to make the sound so recognizable and memorable that people would recognize it as a Royal Enfield motorcycle when they heard it.
Frame
The motorcycle frame has been designed so that the motorcycle rider can travel long distances in comfort. Many hours of testing went into the development of the frame at Royal Enfield's development center in the UK. The frame has been designed to be strong, which gives stability when cornering at high speed. During the development of the motorcycle, thousands of kilometers were driven with it, it was tested on different roads, in different countries. Many different people were involved in the tests to create an extremely comfortable and reliable motorcycle.
Moving
An improved chassis, comfortable riding position, enhanced braking quality, high-spec suspension and responsive power delivery make the Meteor a bike that's built for relaxed riding. The all-new, stronger, stiffer and more durable chassis is designed to maintain stability and maneuverability in straights and corners, without compromising ride comfort.
Tripper navigation:
The motorcycle is equipped with the Tripper navigation system as standard. This system easily connects to your phone without much effort. The system works with the Google maps function, so it is possible to find roads all over the world. The system shows road directions to the driver, informs about upcoming turns by blinking, so that the driver can easily follow the road with his peripheral vision.
